Never saw it in any unit I was in...deployed to Afghanistan in '08 and Iraq in '09. Wonder who got them?

I think I saw the first full issue of them at 5/2 SBCT prior to their deployment to Afghanistan but that was 2K9 or 10. So, maybe after your deployments. The EBR's are issued to units just prior to their deployment. Not in enough time for the units to get any training other than two days with a NET team. The EBRs are turned back in after the deployment to be rebuilt and then issued to the next unit.

They are not 'The Heat'. The M-110 was much better and I bet cost no more considering all the crap that had to be done to get those M-14's rebuilt, put in that stock, find magazines, PLL, etc.
