I agree. IMO, 6.5 Grendel would make a fine chambering for the DMR and LMG.

However, 7.62 seems to be delivering acceptable performance in those roles, so it's difficult to see sufficient justification for complicating the logistical equation by replacing it with a smaller caliber of unproven capability.

6.5 Grendel offers an undetermined amount of ammo and weapon weight reduction, but is that enough to "sell" it as a replacement for 7.62 NATO?
