Military round comparisons

I chose the 123-grain OTM projectile for the 6.5 Grendel and the 115-grain OTM projectile for the 6.8 SPC to simulate the results noted by Tony Williams, in his opening Post, above. Had I chosen the 6.5mm 144-grain Lapua FMJBT, with a Ballistic Coefficient of 0.636 and a Muzzle Velocity of 2275 fps, that projectile wouldn't have dropped to 530 ft.lbs., till a little beyond 925 yards!

And that would have made for another exaggerated comparison. Even Bill Alexander said that 144gr is too heavy for a general purpose ball load. The only suitable lead core FMJ in the desired weight range is the 120gr Norma. Try it for a realistic comparison.
