Reports are sparse and spiked, but wind and rain patterns have also quintupled radiation levels in California and Pacific NW milk and veggies too. Counts are still VERY low, but the bone-seeking radionuclides are a concern—enough of a concern that I am reading labels carefully for the origin of our family's food.
I'd expect that CA, OR, and WA herbivores, including game animals, would be showing results like the bluefin. The cesium radionuclides incorporated into animal bone matrix may be leached into solution by your cooking process. The cesium radionculides that have not been incorporated into the animal bone matrix behave like calcium in even the organelles of soft tissue cells and, when ingested, can be incorporated into your bone matrix, hence a cancer risk, especially for osteosarcoma.
As mongoosesnipe correctly noted, heavy metals remain a problem in top-of-the-food-chain marine animals.
It is a tangent to the main point of Fukushima's contamination of the food chain, including game animals, but this does remind me of the sushi assassination of Alexander Litvinenko by polonium.
