I think sites like this one and AR15.com and the like are good places for topics that directly deal with the subject of the forum. It helps inform users and allows discussion of thoughts, debates, and even helps arm some with valid points to use when debating others. The rules should not ban the topic of guns and 2nd Amendment which directly affects each of its members, but ban the members who can't handle the debate and take it to levels that shouldn't be broached.
It's pretty sad when a gun forum decides to ban discussions on the 2nd amendment that directly affects each member and their rights. Just pathetic.
It is actually reflective of the gun debate and it's politics. A horrible crime with a gun is committed by a few people so politicians (mostly democrats) want to ban all people from owning the type of weapon used heinous crime. So all the law abiding gun owners are affected and can't have said type of weapon.
In the same vein, Snipers Hide is acting like democrats. A few members can't behave and have an informed debate but drag threads into p!ssing contests and thrash others, so Snipers Hide decides to ban discussion all together. So it hurts the forum rule abiders that enjoy the political discussion instead of the ones that were rule breakers.
