Figures released yesterday showed that businesses had created 119,000 new jobs in April, 20% below what was expected, 150,000.
That was followed by todays job report that NEW filings for unemployment were 234,000 last WEEK, down 18% from the week before, but still part of a month that saw more than 1,000,000 new filings.
Nevertheless, the media is reporting these results as if they are good evidence that todays economy is on the rebound. Like the Federal Government, media is drinking the KoolAid.
I am at a loss as to how any SANE individual can look at 1,000,000+ new unemployment claims, compare that to 119,000 new jobs, and then declare that we are in an upswing economy!
Folks, this is a toilet bowl economy, with the water swirling around the bowl, and if you have a job, be thankful for now, but plan on finding a way to keep it, or finding a way to feed your family when the flush happens. There is NO WAY we can sustain a 17 Trillion dollar debt, growing at BILLIONs of dollars daily, and manage to re-ignite the economy and save American jobs.
This is going to require a Re-Boot, and just like the blue screen of death on a Windows computer, it is going to be painful.
