Ah yes, but each of those was a singular event. Lamentable, yes. BUT...the current administration is systmatically dismantling the American way of life.

The "American way of life" has been continually evolving during the last 200-plus years. I'm sure many of those white males who lived through such changes as the abolition of slavery, and allowing women to vote, viewed them as "dismantling" their way of life.

The notion that there has ever been one "American way of life" is contrary to reality. For as long as this country has existed, there have always been many ways of life, depending upon the particular time period and geographic location.

None of those individual steps above did so.

Perhaps not. However, of prime relevance to the Room 2A sub-forum, Reagan's 1986 ban on machine gun manufacture and Bush's 1989 import ban were the two worst ever violations of the 2nd Amendment, far worse than anything done by this (or any other Democratic) Administration.
