The leftists in the 60's used the misspelling of America as 'Amerika' as a vulgar insult to our country, its heritage, its naivete, its optimism, its boldness, its innovation, its belief in God, the Nuclear Family as it was termed then, etc. They used it as an insult to our entire heritage and our culture. Hillary was SDS I believe. Bill Clinton was in another anti-American (anti-war) group. The word was common slur used by the radical leftists then and continues with the same intent today by the real hard core radical leftists -- the Liberation Theologists. Of all of them from the 60's and 70's, the Liberation Theologists are the only ones left I believe. Obama's 'church' preaches Liberation Theology.

So, when someone here uses that spelling of America, they should understand what it is implying about them, no matter what it may have meant before the radical left started using it in the 60's and 70's. It is considered a vulgar insult of our country.

Still not sure why everyone is so pissed off about capturing the Muslim terrorist in Boston. The conspiracy guys here apparently think it is the end of the world.

This thing is moving too fast to keep up with, so I'mma just gonna interject here.

As a young man coming of age in the '70's and having to deal with those people, I took the 'K' to be an indicator of what they wished America to become. ABC reinforced this with their deplorable miniseries.

When I see the 'K' currently, I take it to mean what America has become due to the taking of power by those who sought so diligently to overthrow her government and way of life.

No, America is not yet communist. It's well on its way. Yes, the current regime is struggling and faltering in its efforts to speed the process. They haven't completely broken the system yet. Yet. But they're close. The system as it's currently practiced doesn't really work in any meaningful way. Oblammacare is proof of that even if you ignore the '12 election cycle. And unless and until we bring the process back under control, the end is inevitable.
