I see eye-to-eye with a lot of your sentiments Bjorn. There's an article I just read that I feel is highly appropriate for this discussion. The opening paragraph began as such:

Comparing the US and Europe
The European Socialist Democracies are kept afloat by a clearing house in the US for American wealth, along with the US not only footing the bill for European security, but backing it with American bodies and military presence in the post-War era...while we have certainly surpassed them in redistribution of what wealth we have left here to the welfare queen class in America, who enjoy many luxuries that were only known by royalty up until the past few generations.

One interesting difference in Europe is that the small segment of upper middle class has similar buying power, assets, and less square footage in their domiciles when compared to our "poverty" class, but our luxury-welfare class has bathtubs (a European rarity), combined with the irony of lower personal hygiene standards.

Direction US is going
A significant majority of our politicians have been indoctrinated in universities where Marxism/communism is taught as a superior politico-economic system to our own, and have slowly grown in prominence since the Teddy Roosevelt Administration. The concern over communist takeover is real, while nobody can logically make the argument that we are anything like Cuba, North Korea, or the former Soviet Union...but what direction are we headed?

Current Regime
We certainly have a bastard occupying the White House who was illegitimately sired by two unashamed useful idiot communists, whose grandparents were communist, and has surrounded himself with nothing but communists and pink babies from the Chicago Alinsky new left movement, which openly advocated conversion of America to a Marxist-Leninist state by slow evolution, rather than radical, violent revolution.



These are matters of historical record, so I think any true American should be aware of and concerned by the direction our Nation has taken. The conspiracy is open, where its perpetrators honestly believe that tyranny is superior to freedom, as long as they're in charge and have the power to make our decisions for us.

Key to Success is Education
As did Lenin, Stalin, and the Bolsheviks, their success relies on uneducated masses being aroused with emotion against a propped-up enemy, which is always the evil bourgeois land-owners, business owners, employers...people with the vision and the hard work behind their private sector efforts. This is why owning the public indoctrination system has been so crucial to their success.

America's Unique Checks and Balances Pose a Challenge
What's different with America is that never before have a people been able to wrestle free from the yoke of bondage under tyranny, then set up a system where the people maintain the power, with certain limited functions enumerated and assigned to three separate, and co-equal branches of government that are supposed to protect the people from the other branches. By referencing the article, we can assess our current state of being by asking specific questions about where we stand today:



Is it true that we are governed by executive over-reach? Do I need to mention that even though each State has its own Executive-a Governor, we still have over a hundred years of Presidents who have felt it necessary to meddle in the domestic affairs of the Nation.

Obamacare is a glaring offense in the face of liberty and significant majority opposition in that regard, as are Johnson's Great Socialist Society, FDR's egregious usurpation of power by appointing KKK members and other rubber-stamp justices to the SCOTUS and stripping fully-integrated Americans of certain ethnic descent of their Constitutional Rights, Woodrow Wilson's signing over of US control of our own coining of currency to foreigners while launching the supra-national entity known as the League of Nations and setting the precedent for the eradication of the Nation-State into the future...

Do we have an environment of legislative complicity? When has the Congress brought up impeachment proceedings for a President who has engaged in war against sovereign-even allied nations in the war on terror? When do we see serious Congressional investigations into extreme acts of executive branch abuse or malfeasance?

Do we have judicial partisanship? I already mentioned the major assault on the division of powers FDR perpetrated. I'm not sure I would label the SCOTUS as a partisan affair, but one where Marxists have been able to emplace Justices over the last century, who are committed ideologically to transforming the US, the limitation of powers be damned. We even have it on record where Justice Sotomayor stated that "...everyone knows that the Judicial Branch makes the laws.", and this to classes of graduating law students. And what happened with Justice Stevens changing his position at the last moment on the illegal power-grab that Obamacare is? Everyone asked what leverage this regime has on him.

Lastly, do we have journalistic decadence? Our press has been a joke for multiple generations now. Major scandals that our grandparents' generation thought were legitimate exposés like Watergate, were never fully uncovered, and the scandals have been managed by politically-savvy and connected actors manipulating inexperienced stooges who are subject to editorial censorship anyway. In the current era, we have a press that is openly slavish to the Obama regime, whereas they were openly-hostile to the Bush & Reagan Administrations. They have no credibility as such with the consumer who wants just facts and background story, rather than rallies for dear leader. I can only imagine what Archie Bunker episodes would be like today...
