I doubt it. IMO, the Founding Fathers primary interest was gaining power, not eliminating tyrannical acts from government. Example: One of the complaints against British "tyranny" was a royal tax levied on booze; opposition to that tax helped fuel the American Revolution. But, what was one of George Washington's first acts after becoming President? Placing a "tyrannical" tax on booze!

The complaint against the tax had nothing to do with it being on booze (ok the fact that it was on booze probably did push it over the top). It was due to the fact that the KING was forcing the colonist to pay for a war with France that they wanted nothing to do with.
