I have a few different sets of muffs KB from the cheap end right through to the grade 5 and while they all work they become a nucience when wanting to wear a hat and the in the ear type are the most effective for that. I have the sensguard type http://www.sinclairintl.com/shooting-acc...34339.aspx
but the sound of them constantly rubbing on your collar with a hat on becomes wearying after a while. I had a good in the ear set but lost one when chainsawing firewood over the summer and didn't notice it for long enough to have no hope of finding it again. The sonic defenders look like they will make a handy alternative.
