I lived in Boston for nearly a quarter of my life. I was trained, I married, and my first child was born there. I have not heard from my friends, but I know some of the people we are seeing on television. This is an attack upon us all and it is only proper that, for the moment, for today, we as a nation put aside our small divisions. We must wrap our arms around the parents who have lost a child and stand together in silent vigil at the bedsides of our neighbors who have been crippled.
And we must say to those cowardly bastards who have done this, "In maiming our friends, you have made us all bleed. You have taken a child from all of us. Turn now to whatever Being you call Divine. Pray for mercy from your God(s); you will receive none from us."
