A member of my Gun Club called me last night to ask if he could borrow the Thompson Center adapter that I made for my Ransom Rest (our club has a rest for members use but limited selection of adapters) and if I would bring it to today's IHMSA match. It reminded me that auto loading pistols would always throw the first round away from the "group" center when fired from the Ransom Rest. When testing loads I always fire the first shot and then top up the magazine and fired for group. I realize this is WAY off the grendel path but I always found it interesting and it does remove the 'human factor" which is why I got the rest to test guns and loads.
