One of the biggest factors in suicides is soldiers who married young, and married badly. Come home from your 5th or 6th deployment to an immature or emotionally unstable spouse who adds to the stress, rather than helps alleviate it. Now the soldier goes from a position where they long to come home from deployment to a loving spouse, to a scenario where deployment and return are dreaded, with nowhere to turn, and by the way, a freaking enemy puppet general is your commander in chief, who was raised by communist grandparents after his commie mommie abandoned him, and he's doing everything in his power to demoralize the military.
Not a lot of places to turn in that case. I thought the Clinton years were bad when Slick Willie's Appointee for the Secretary of the Army was caught shop-lifting women's clothes from our PX, and his Deputy White House Counsel's body was found a mile north of our Post in Fort Marcy Park after the Travelgate scandal, with the head of Chinese foreign intelligence services renting the Lincoln Bedroom and given a Top Secret Security Clearance without vetting....oh yeah, they were pretty bad, but we weren't doing 6 & 7 deployments either.
