Colorado Gov Signs Gun Registration

I've read the txt of the background check bill HB 1229 and its referenced requirements for that check. It refers to Colorado law 12-26-102, C.R.S.,which requires dealers to record all the information about the gun purchased and who purchased it and maintain that record for inspection. HB 1229 requires all state and federal record keeping as if the dealer was making the sale himself.

So there it is, a gun registration starting July 1 for all private gun sales or transfers. You don't see any mention of it in the news about why people oppose background checks.
