i have had my Eotech for 2 years and never changed the battery and it takes double A batteries which are a nice convenient and can be found anywhere. Thats with leaving it on the entire time for about a 4 hour period at the range everytime without shuting it off. The aimpoints battery would have to be found at a specialty store. But its what works best for people i guess.
