I bought an Eotech for my carbine for the simple fact that i like to be able to shoot out at a pretty good distance with it as well. With the Eotech it has a 1 moa dot in the center and will allow you to actually see targets out at say 200 yards alot better and be able to shoot certain spots more accurately. The aimpoint i had the dot was to big and covered up to much of the target out at that distance. Plus for close quarters combat with the Eotech say if you were clearing a room or defending your home pretty much anything thats inside of the large 65 moa dot is going to get hit, great for a quick target acquisition. But thats just my opinion. Great looking rifle.
