It would take a mill, some precise measuring and indicator.
If you have enough table length you can run it out and detect a very small amount.
You split the receiver dimension, then indicate on that and run it out after carefully clamping the upper with the bottom edge on the top of the vice and the lugs grabbed.
It will take some skill to detect it as well.
