Al franken was on the local chnl. this sun am. He's a good guy.
He spoke of the end result-hopefully here soon==Maybe a huge reform upon background checks--gun shows-sales between fam. units.,etc. No talk of AWB's.
No speak of 10 rnd. mags. We here will give up =zero.

I don't doubt for a second that they would be willing to "compromise" and settle for a "universal background check". What they effectively mean is a "universal firearms registry". They are just calling it a background check instead. The registration scheme will be buried in the language, or they'll issue themselves authority to create it later during their "implementation phase". A universal check system only works if they have registration with it. Otherwise how can they enforce it?

I love how they always speak of compromise.:confused: They offer three infringements of our rights, and are willing to "compromise" by only taking one of them now. Then next time around they'll want three more and settle for another one. The process is designed to continue until they have it all.

It's kind of like a pack of wolves "compromising" by only eating one of your sheep tonight. They'll be back to "compromise" for another one tomorrow night.

When they seek to take what is not theirs to have, it is not a compromise. It is outright theft. Never to be regained within their system. They seek to garner even more of the power they've become drunken on, and they will strangle us as quickly or slowly as we allow them.

My idea of compromise would be getting back all of our rights, and agreeing to show a tiny bit of leniency during their future prosecution-- in exchange for them providing assistance in righting their wrongs now. I know it is more than a wolf deserves, but hey, I could be a tiny bit forgiving if they complied. I'm a swell guy like that!LOL
