Only problem is that there are no decent bullpup designs. I like the Steyr AUG the best, but alas, it has a plastic trigger...really?
The 20" barrel isn't really necessary in today's age of powders, especially for a general-purpose service cartridge. I'm a huge fan of the bullpup concept. The code to achieving fully ambidextrous use with one has yet to be cracked, and that especially includes the modern copies of the Russian ТКБ-022ПМ № 2 Bullpup ejection system.

I have some designs that tackle this, but the problem of feeding it with a standard military cartridge from feasible magazines, and managing the ejection, while incorporating AR15-type ergos is monumental. A bullpup LMG is another story entirely.
