The point of the thread is that serious questions have been raised about the selection and retention process for US military officers under Comrade Hussein's regime, with the claim that the criteria is based on whether or not officers will give the order to shoot US civilians.
What I'm suggesting is that if such a plan exists, it serves the interests of a rising foreign power, not the US. If you really want to start a discussion about 9/11, you should consider the role it played in tying up US military resources away from our traditional regional postures in Europe and the Pacific Rim, while attempting to form a wedge between the US and the Saudi's. The surrogate named Usama Bin Laden, along with Al-Zawahiri and pals, were centered out of Pakistan, which is where Ramzi Yousef (the original World Trade Center bomber in 1993) was eventually arrested.
Pakistan is a major recipient of Chinese military technology, to include nuclear weapons. When China calls, they jump. A good example of that is when China provided said nukes, they demanded the turnover of US F-16's to China so they could reverse-engineer them, which they did, combined with the technology Comrade Clinton and the Israeli's sold them in the 1990's. Remember that China funded Clinton's campaigns illegally, through various loosely-concealed fronts.
If you base your opinions of 9/11 on the self-admitted marijuana fund-raising project two dope-heads embarked upon, called "Loose Change", you will be led astray from the real backdrop of the events. Consider the effects a foreign power has in sewing seeds of discontent with such an event, not only between traditional allies, but between your enemy and his corrupted national leadership, and how that plays into your end-game for civil unrest in his country, again...without ever meeting him on the battlefield. Why did Al-Zawahiri and Bin Laden choose so many Saudi citizens for the operation?
The goal was to imply the Saudi government in the attack, which would harm US-Saudi relations. The Saudi intelligence services discovered that Mohamed Atta received $100,000 via wire transfer by direction from the head of Pakistani's ISI, general Mahmoud Ahmed.
It takes about 5 years of intense study to even begin to understand the geopolitical landscape prior to 9/11, and the plausible actors in that event. Watching a few youtube videos on it won't cut the mustard, and every such production must be seen through a more advanced filter based on a vast understanding of geopolitics, with particular emphasis on Pakistan and the laundry list of state-sponsored terrorist organizations that call Pakistan their home. His mother was a frequent visitor to Pakistan, and she had some knowledge of the Urdu language. When you consider her work for USAID and the Ford Foundation, you can guess her profession quite quickly if you're knowledgeable about such things.
After the Indonesian, Indian, and Pakistani trip in the summer of 1981, he returned to the US and was somehow accepted into Columbia University. After Columbia, he gained employment with Business Information Corporation, an economic intelligence-gathering front for a certain 3-letter agency based out of Northern Virginia. He mentions this company, but not by-name, in Dreams From My Father. His mother later revealed the name of the company during an interview.
But again, for any of this information to make sense, you need to have an exceptional understanding of geography, history as taught to businessmen/bankers/career intelligence professionals across the world, and an understanding of the various proxy actors for major global powers. A public school education, topped with a 4 or 6-year college degree outside of history and economics, and a diet of youtube videos won't adequately prepare the student of current events for the feast of information needed to be digested, especially if the majority of your professors are Marxists.
