This is a steady regression of the last 30 years. In the early years of my private practice I would hardly ever see men, and, when I did, they were really sick. They had problems, not "issues." Nowadays, men, like women, come in for the tiniest of "issues." Even in the ER 95%+ of what I saw were just "boo boos." No wonder that medical costs have skyrocketed. I could puke.

In the old days, we could just say "Man up!" No longer. Now we have to keep on our sympathy faces or face expensive career-destroying medical board actions. Everything normal and manly has been pathologized. Did I mention? I could puke.
