What do you say to Americans who have family, friends, real estate, and other roots in the area? Just pack up and leave? Time to stand your ground, and if that fails, then push for separation from NYC as a new State with an even more clear constitution, then cut off the flow of food & treated water to NYC at current pricing.

Just watched the local news...

Utah Sheriff's Association drafted a letter to Comrade Hussein stating they will not allow any Federal officials or agents to descend on our constituents to violate their rights protected by the 2A, and they are prepared to trade their lives in the preservation of the traditional liberties defined in the Constitution.

Agreed. It's just all messed up for the pro gun side there. It's easy for me to say move, but not so easy for them to do it in many situations. They are very outnumbered as well. I know they have some awesome folks there amongst the other far less awesome people, as I met them and was impressed while I was deployed there for 9/11. Hence why I feel so sorry for them. If I were there and could, then I'd vote with my feet personally. Again, that's easy for me to say while living on the outside looking in.

I had multiple opportunities to go there for more money in the past, but the answer is unequivocally no. I have the "privilege" of being "more equal" than the average NY citizen via my FLEO status, but that is total horse crap, and not acceptable to me.

I love what Utah, Wyoming, Texas, and some of the other states are doing. I hope that happens here in WV, and have asked around, but haven't heard a lot yet. I'm pretty effectively restrained by the Hatch act from doing very much politically, but if I can somehow limp through the next 8.5 years without everything falling apart I can become far more vocal at that point. It sucks being muzzled, but that is the choice I'm left with. My retirement or my voice...:mad: So I donate where I can, forward emails, sign letters, write them, make calls, etc...
