Let’s see:
the Brady Center that calls for the end to hi cap mags and “assault weapons” was started by a guy shot by a crazy guy with a 22 revolver.
The federal call in database used for gun buyers has little or no data from most of the states on felons and less on the people with mental problems.
There is no political will to do anything about getting a better data base for fear it will cost money and might infringe on someone’s civil rights.
The most prolific serial killers in history (crazies killed more people than the current crop of crazies) never used guns they tended to strangle, stab, or beat their victims to death.
Most criminals don’t go to a gun show or a store and buy a gun they steal them (or have someone do a straw purchase for them or have the current Attorney General get them).
The media covers the killers so much that they get more attention than the victims of their crimes, a sick-o form of instant stardom for crazy coward losers.
The same media only seems to cover the odd balls who speak out as pro gun.
Chicago with some of the strictness gun laws in the nation had over 500 murders last year.
So the only solutions our elected officials can come up with is to enact gun and magazine bans that will only effect the sane law-abiding citizens?
It should be noted you can be clearly crazy, a drunk or drug user, and/or a convicted felon and still hold office in this country.
