If it were me. Because of the threat of the ban. I would concentrate on finding a good lower receiver, magazines, and a telescoping buttstock. Especially the lower receiver. If they ban the assault rifle sales i believe all your upper parts will be available. But since the lower is the registered part with serial number because it houses the trigger group that will be what will probably be illegal for sale anymore. Good luck.
