True. They look cool too. IMO there is no difference in reliability or accuracy. I've seen many pics of other shooters rigs on this forum,most of which probably have more experience with the grendel than me, and many are running non-plated BCG's. Just my two cents. Also, if you try loading CFE223 powder you'll find that cleaning is much easier too.
