Those are excellent points Variable. My instinct has led me to believe long ago that something shady is up with Chinamart screwing over small family businesses with their global footprint model of manufacturing everything in China, and industrializing as much of the market as possible.
For example: With ammo, they can buy it cheaper than most gun stores, and sell it cheaper. If they are the only game in town one day, they can then stop ammo sales altogether, and effectively turn off the supply to the citizenry.
