I still have 3 safes pretty full of rifles, pistols and shotguns, mostly rifles. The rifles I sold were going to go before Sandy Hook happened. I would love to leave but the kids are here and the wife doesn't want to go (she can stay). I just want to have a plan for the worst case. I will continue to wait on my J&T kit for now and hope all of this calms down. Worst case I sell the AR's and my lat M1A or move them to a place where they are legal.
Leaving NY sure does sound good, NM sounds great, I would love to be able to hunt without having to drive 3 hours. After working close to 20 years in Manhattan I'm ready for a change of scenery and a lot less humanity around me.
