This legislation has a snowball's chance in hell of passing, unless they personally threaten hundreds of Congressmen:

Bans the sale, transfer, importation, or manufacturing of:

120 specifically-named firearms;
Certain other semiautomatic rifles, handguns, shotguns that can accept a detachable magazine and have one or more military characteristics; and
Semiautomatic rifles and handguns with a fixed magazine that can accept more than 10 rounds.

Military characteristics: Which firearm doesn't have a military characteristic? My .270 Winchester is a German Mauser action design, sporterized and manufactured in the US from 1937-1964. It has no mechanically legal distinction from the military battle rifles of that era, and is a prime target for the next targeted increment of the statist disarmament plan: Evil Sniper Rifles, like the one Charles Witman used from the Clock Tower in Texas.

Requires that grandfathered weapons be registered under the National Firearms Act, to include:

Background check of owner and any transferee;
Type and serial number of the firearm;
Positive identification, including photograph and fingerprint;
Certification from local law enforcement of identity and that possession would not violate State or local law; and
Dedicated funding for ATF to implement registration.

Mrs. Judicial Watch's Top-10 Most Corrupt Politician's legislation goes on to cite "assault pistols". What is an assault pistol, because I have been working professionally with firearms in military and civilian settings for 3 decades now, and I haven't seen this "assault pistol" she speaks of. Diane Feinstein is a living example of mental delinquency in government. If anything, we need laws banning people with her limited thought capacity from public office.
