WHY does anyone NEED an ASSAULT RIFLE?

I would like to say what the libtard politicians don't understand, but I'm afraid they understand all to well that with the 2nd we don't have the need, without it we WILL have the need for "weapons of war" to defend ourselves against tyrants. The 2nd Amendment prevents that need as our Nuclear Weapons stockpile has acted as the greatest deterrent to Nuclear War. Without either our enemies will have not a fear of the repercussions of attacking us.

And yes as a veteran who swore an oath to protect the constitution from enemies both foreign and DOMESTIC, anyone who threatens my constitution is an enemy.
