I had a debate with a editor of a leftist news paper on line from Helena about banning semi auto rifles yesterday. He would consistently use England's firearm murder rate compared to the U.S. as his only weapon for his argument. After a complete shut down with fact's and reality checks he did the typical tactic of name calling. When he responded to the 56 million people murdered in the last century after being disarmed he used the term complex clause. Definition: the effect is caused by a number of objects or events, of which the cause identified is only a part. So I said 56 million people being murdered after being disarmed by their governments was probably only a small factor. He replied sarcastically yes. So I replied the murders in Connecticut by semi automatic firearms was also complex clause. The AR-15 was only a small factor in the murders. The reply's then were only condescending remarks and references to body parts. Trying to reason with progressives is pointless, but if challenged their only hope is to get their opponent angry with insults. As they say," you can take a liberal to logic but you can't make them think". As a foot note, he is also a high school speech and debate teacher. And people wonder why so many of our kids today are messed up.
