The fillibuster rules have become pretty bastardized in recent years. Any legislation on a ban would have to have a 60 vote super-majority in the Senate as well...which they don't have. Plus, if by some miracle they got something passed in one house or the other...it would never survive conference anyhow i reckon with anything other than another ban in name only.
Even if...and that is remote at best...that legislation passed--the grendel would still be a wonderful round in a bold action anyhow. How many people hunt deer and whatnot with a .243??? Well I suppose...those folk would be even happier with the grendel for all the same reasons they like the 6mm. : )
