Being in SW Virginia, not far from Bill's House of Grendel, I have fired a few rounds through the Beowulf. Main reason I don't have one is the ammo is so expensive - even to reload. Recoil is...manageable...but you know you aren't shooting a .308. Accuracy out to 200M is good, beyond that, forget it - bullet drops too much.
Purpose of the Beowulf is anti-vehicle, and my understanding from Bill and others at AA is there has been a lot of interest in the weapon for that purpose from LE and MIL. I would imagine breaching is also a key component.
Bill and his team at AA are all great people. I have been on the range with them a few times when they were test firing weapons, and they never hesitated to talk about what they do or even let you fire a few test rounds down range.
