I dont disagree with your wanting civility however one thing i might point out to you is Pres Obama within 3 hrs being President re elected contacted the UN and gave his full support for the UN weapons ban. 2-3 days later Sen Feinstien reintroduced the Bill Clinton Assault weapons ban bill on the Senate with one little change. No grandfathering law, turn in your rifles and magazines. I hope you didnt support that.
