I was holding off on this until the more likely possibilities were put out there but on the old forum there was a member that was having the same problem.
He was shooting at targets 100 yards away and kept getting keyholing.
It turned out his scope was either very loose in the mounts or was just mounted wrong.
Long story short, it turned out he was skipping the bullets into the target without him knowing it.
He thought he was aimed at the target when he was actually aimed extremely low and the bullets were skipping off the ground and then to the target.
Just like skipping stones on water.
Who would have thought!
