+1 on the carbon fiber rods. I use Tipton. i also use the jag and patches. I dont use a brush at all. My barrel doesnt really get any copper. Just some of the soot and powder. On the break in i didnt break mine in at all. I just shot it. It shoots half inch or less consistently at 100 yards. Alls i use is Hoppes. And if im not going to be shooting it awhile ill run a couple of patches of rem oil through it. Man i just noticed this post is so old!
