Am I missing something on this? It seems not to many want to use a savage for a Grendel build. I did and Fred at sharp Shooters sent me a bolt for a 7.62x39 and it works really well. I set it in a B&C stock W/CDI bottom metal and a poly AI 223 Mag (I had to widen the lips a bit but cycles beautifully) The barrel was from Pac-Nor.
My first five shots out of it were inside a dime. I could use some practice but for me thats pretty good. I guess the savage is not as much as a challenge for the the advanced guys and I say that with all due respect. I've learned a lot from you guys, PM's and just reading the boards.
I built one on an AR platform also and that shoots sweet too.
