Yeah, keep it!

Use something like Hornady's 75gr BTHP in the .223 and the 120 Ballistic Tip in the Grendel. Sight both in at 200 yards.

Assuming same barrel length, you'll get minute of water bottle for the same sight picture to past 230 yards, minute of deer or hog out to 260 yards. and can use the same holdover for deer-size game out to past 300 yards.

After that, you will definitely want to use laser-range finding and accurate trajectory tables.

So, the .223 would be for plinking and familiarity and the Grendel when you want to knock something over!
