I was having the same thought as I wait for my 24" Grendel upper. I have a 6.5 16" for hunting and the 24" will be for paper. I agree with the other posts that the .223 is cheaper to shoot and may be more appropriate for small varmint.

It's an economics question really. Can you afford to have your .223 sitting in the case? Or sell it for another Grendel if cost of plinking is not a concern.
