Yeah, and checking my paperwork for that pistol I find it was an LMT 10.5" barrelled upper with 1 in 7 twist.. Talk about egg on ones face.. I've mainly shot factory Federal 55 gr FMJ's down that barrel, and so far it has cycled flawlessly..
I agree with your points on shorter barrels are not as critical.. Well that is unless you try to shoot a max load under a 40gr varmint bullet.. They blow apart before getting 100 yards.. Oh yeah.. And they make a wicked hiss as they go down range.. Really evil sounding..
