The Game Warden that I spoke with, very politely asked to see my hunting licence, and that I pick up any visible remnants of the sage rats I had been shooting, and to take them with me when I left. He said it didn't matter what I did with them once I got them home, but I couldn't leave them there. So, I cleaned, cooked and fed them to my dog.
