Around here they have nothing above them on the food chain and an abundant food supply. They quickly over populate and start attacking livestock and pets. They also carry disease and parasites. As a benefit to the hunter, they are are a challenge to pursue and good opportunity to hone your skills. Typically they are disposed of or left for the buzzards. Occasionally there will be a market for the pelts.
