The moon was shining and so was the Grendel

I'm learning that these yotes are tougher to get close to when that moon is full and bright. We started out in a open field and tried to stay down wind on a yote that knew something was between him and the caller. He was held up about 200 yds out and I tried to down him but as luck would have it I missed. Its one thing to shoot at a target on a fixed table during daylight and its another thing to shoot at a small yote sittin down facing you in the dark while trying to steady your shot on a 5' tripod (trigger stick). That crosshair sure does move around alot. We then ran uo into this guy pictured above and I really made sure we cut him off at a closer distance. I shot this mangie yote at around 100 yds. He dropped there like no tomarrow. When I walked up on him I thought "damn he's ugly". No touching this guy...actually he's lucky that I even posted him on this site.

I spotted this hog working the edge of a wood line and the wind was right for me. I stalked within 70 yds of this small boar hog. He was standing broadside and I put the crosshairs right under his ear. This guy dropped like a sack of potatoes. I couldn't see where the bullet went in. I'm thinking that the bullet went in his ear. His head sure was lying in a pool of blood. I sure am proud of my Grendel.
