Several.
Two immediately come to mind,
First was a doe I nailed at about 90yds with a 158gr .30cast bullet from a .30/30. (Spine behind the shoulder).
Upon reaching the deer, I could smell the septic wound just below its jaw. It was like something or someone had tried to cut its throat. It was obvious that someone had tried the low probability neck shot.
Second was one that I had missed, or thought I missed. Initially, I shot at the deer off hand behind me as it was trotting away from me at about 40yds. I found hair but no blood. This was second week of the season. I shot it with a Marlin .338Marlin MXLR using the Lee .338 220gr RNGC with a 1/4 meplat filed on the tip @2,000fps over 40.0gr of RL15.
The last week of the season I nailed him at 110yds across my food plot with a RCBS 220gr .358 RFNGC cast from my Marlin M336 in .35Rem. He had a 1/2 x6 healed burn mark across his left shoulder where Id grazed him.
I had a buddy kill a nice 8pt buck. His son got a nasty cut trying to remove the heart lungs while dressing/butchering the deer. The buck had a broken off 8 section of an arrow with attached broad head in its chest
This season, I shot a nice 7pt that went almost 200lbs at 148yds out my kitchen window. The broadside shot hit him through both shoulders just under the spine n through the upper lungs. He dropped at the shot but didnt die. I got my lawn mower and drug him to the concrete pad under a stairway where I usually dress them. When I stuck him with a knife, he tried to kick me! Took 2 shots to the head with a .2 .22 revolver, and finally a .38 wadcutter to the left ear to put him down. The bullet was a 150gr soft pt. From a 7mm08 @ 2,700fps m//v! Photo shows exit wound.
