OK, got a heads up from a member here and THIS is EXACTLY what we've been needing for my dream assault rifle cartridge.

File this under things I wish someone would invent and someone actually did!
SIG has recognized the strength of stainless steel for their 6.8 NGSW cartridge with a two-piece case consisting of a standard brass body mated to a higher-strength-yet-lighter stainless steel case head unit attached via a locking ring. The downside is the added complexity of this three-piece design.
Why couldn't we have good ol' steel-case, but use stainless steel instead of the mild steel plus laquer or polymer coating?
