I wouldn't say using a chamfer tool is the easiest way to remove the primer crimp but it is the most convenient way to do it if you already have the tool. I used a chamfer tool when I first started reloading 5.56 & 7.62 NATO brass for three gun matches. But, having had carpal tunnel syndrome in the past, it got pretty tedious quickly. I got swaging tools for crimped brass & haven't looked back.
I refuse to be victimized by notions of virtuous behavior.
