There is no difference in the orientation of the pin, you have the lugs facing each other, so the offset is just the opposite, place them side by side and you will see they are the same orientation.

What weight buffer? Standard H1 buffer? Go to a heavy buffer, I start at a H3 and go up, and slow down the cyclic rate, the extra weight keeps the bolt in battery longer.

FTR, I never use an adjustable gas block, I tune by buffer weight.
