The bolt face should be compatible and Ive heard the 7.62x39 mini mags work great with the Grendel. So youre good to go there!
Having said that, if you can find a new one in the Grendel, (probably easier said than done!) you might be better off just buying it, and selling the 7.62x39 off. Rather than purchasing a new barrel at $4-500! Penny wise, pound foolish! Maybe!
I dont think Ruger sells replacement barrels, at least they didnt when I tried to buy one last year!
