My first advice...if you're not a mechanical type person, don't build your own rifle.
I'm the opposite type of person, I normally can't wait to take things apart just to see how it works. As a plus, I sometimes get stuff back together...:p
In terms of most useful tools, a 1/2" torque wrench is needed in order to put a barrel on, and as mentioned previously the Wheeler torque driver is good for scope rings, hex, star, etc....
The other thing that is nice to have is some type of bench vise / gun holder while you work.
Other than that, a lathe, mill, drill press, arbor press, et al, can assist a great deal!
