I recently read the DoD just ordered 100,000 new M4's.. I expect this will impact on availability of a lot of AR parts..

You really think that DPMS/Delton is sourcing parts from the same suppliers as Colt & FN? Or area a large supplier to the civvy market?

FN is normally prohibited from selling their AR parts on the open market. Colt does, but in fairly small volume.

I do agree there are some cases where the same mfg's may supply parts on contract for both civvy and mil orders, especially for things like Cold Hammer Forged barrels.

My read is that building AR's is more popular than ever, and people are overreacting (again) to election stuff.
